Windows BYOK beta. OpenAI or Groq for speech. Gemini optional for cleanup.

Clean voice at your cursor.

Click a Windows text field, press CapsLock, speak naturally, and YapClean cleans the result before inserting it where you were already writing.

Best for Windows users who already have or can create an OpenAI or Groq API key. Beta access is delivered manually today; no public installer download is linked from this site yet.

Where the work happens

Dictation for the field in front of you.

Most dictation tools stop at transcription. YapClean is built for the next step: cleaning the words, removing false starts, preserving meaning, and placing the result where your cursor already is.

Beta fit

Request access if the current beta matches your workflow.

Good fit now

  • You use Windows 10 or 11 and can install a desktop beta.
  • You can bring an OpenAI or Groq key for speech-to-text and pay that provider directly for usage.
  • You dictate replies, notes, forms, CRM updates, or founder/operator text several times per week.
  • You are willing to complete the built-in practice field, then test one real field you care about.

Wait if you need

  • macOS, Linux, automated checkout, public installer delivery, or hands-off setup.
  • Managed model billing without bringing your own provider key.
  • Guaranteed compatibility across all Windows apps or field types.
  • Medical/legal-grade reliance, flawless output claims, or live typing while you speak.

For quick replies

Turn a rough spoken thought into a calm reply without opening a separate editor.

Messy

"tell her yeah I can do Tuesday actually no Wednesday after lunch"

Clean

"Wednesday after lunch works for me."

For notes and tasks

Keep useful structure when your speech naturally turns into a list.

Clean output
  • Review the contract
  • Send the updated numbers
  • Move the call to Friday

For multilingual workflows

Format translation-style dictation during beta without turning the dictated text into a chatbot conversation.

Spoken

"translate this to English: I will send the invoice tomorrow"

Clean

"I will send the invoice tomorrow."

Workflow

One key. One field. Clean output.

01

Click a Windows text field.

Start where you already plan to write: an email, chat box, note, form, CRM field, or document.

02

Press CapsLock.

YapClean listens while you speak naturally, including pauses and corrections.

03

Speak like a person.

No need to compose polished sentences in your head before talking.

04

Get clean text.

The result is cleaned for clarity and inserted at the cursor in supported fields.

YapClean is in beta. Some Windows fields behave differently, and compatibility will improve as testing expands.

First session

The first proof is one complete dictation loop.

01

Install the Windows beta from manual setup instructions.

02

Paste and test your OpenAI or Groq speech key.

03

Choose the microphone YapClean should listen to.

04

Use the built-in practice field, then try one real field you care about.

05

Press CapsLock to start, speak, then press CapsLock again to stop.

06

Confirm the final cleaned text appears at the cursor.

LiveDraft is a preview-only widget behavior during beta. The final inserted text is produced after you stop dictation.

The cleanup layer

It should clean your words, not answer you.

YapClean treats speech as raw material for text. It removes filler, self-corrections, repeated fragments, and awkward phrasing while preserving the meaning.

Do

  • Preserve the speaker's intent.
  • Remove filler words and false starts.
  • Use paragraphs when they improve readability.
  • Use lists when the spoken content is naturally list-like.

Do not

  • Answer the dictated content.
  • Invent new facts.
  • Over-compress meaning.
  • Add unnecessary line breaks.

Beta privacy model

Bring your own key. Stay in control of the provider.

YapClean's current beta is BYOK. You connect your own OpenAI or Groq key for speech-to-text. Cleanup can use the selected text-processing provider, including the experimental Gemini path when configured.

  • API keys are intended to be stored in desktop secret storage.
  • YapClean does not need hidden screenshots for the core dictation workflow.
  • Provider processing depends on the provider selected by the user.

Roadmap

Managed Pro is planned, not self-serve yet.

Managed Pro is planned for users who do not want to manage their own key. Gemini is currently an experimental BYOK cleanup/formatting path, while Vertex AI remains a planned managed-infrastructure direction rather than a public self-serve option.
